New Name Announced for Harleston All Through School

May 10, 2022

Last year St Benet's was given approval by the Department for Education to merge Harleston Primary Academy and Archbishop Sancroft High School to form one all through school.

The amalgamation means that children will attend the school from the age of 3 all the way through to completing their GCSE’s at 16.

We are pleased to announce that the new school will be known as Harleston Sancroft Academy and already has a new logo – see above.

Executive Headteacher Rob Connelly says, “Becoming an all through school represents a very significant milestone for this special community and we are very excited about the future for Harleston Sancroft Academy.”

“We are already seeing the impact of this through our interactions with staff, children, families and the wider community and look forward to further developing our work across all aspects of school life.”

To support the changes, a new Head of Secondary, Kirsten Parker, has been appointed and will take up post in September 2022, working alongside Mark Carlyle as Head of Primary.
