Pupils at Garboldisham Primary Academy Receive Children's Bibles from Local Church

March 31, 2021

Early Years Pupils from Garboldisham CE Primary Academy celebrated Easter with a service at St John the Baptist Church, and received gifts of a children's Bible from Revd Nigel Ransom.

Garboldisham Church Primary School, part of St Benet’s Multi Academy Trust, took Key Stage 2 pupils to church on Friday afternoon (26th March) for their final Collective Worship of the term.

Justice is the value they have been thinking about over the last five weeks, so they were considering how goodness overcame evil at Easter.

Reverend Nigel Ransom joined them for Early Years Foundation Stage  (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 Collective Worship on the same day during which the EYFS children were gifted a children’s Bible each at St John the Baptist Church, Garboldisham.

Julia Humphrey, Interim Headteacher, said, “It was amazing to return back to school and the children have settled in well. Going to our local Church to celebrate Easter has been a real treat for the children, where they were gifted with a Bible from Revd Nigel Ransom.”

In addition, Years 3 and 4 wrote Easter prayers and created a beautiful display (seen above).
