KS1 Teaching Assistant Maternity cover (1 year contract)
Hours of work: 8:30 – 3:45 Monday to Friday
39 weeks per year (Term time + 1 week)
Maternity cover (1 year contract)
Grade: 5/6
Required: as soon as possible
We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our KS1 team.
Do you have experience working in schools? Do you have a good understanding of children’s needs, including those special educational needs? If you are able to use your own initiative and want to help improve our children’s futures, we would be very interested to meet you.
Can you give us;
- Dedication, enthusiasm and commitment
- Knowledge of continuous provision and the importance of the environment both inside and outdoors
- Knowledge of interventions that support children in speech, language and communication
- Understanding of the key role played by support staff in the education of children
- A range of experience delivering interventions with a proven track record
- Knowledge of effective behaviour strategies for children with SEMH and/or ASD
- A holistic, inclusive and positive approach
- Team work and a commitment to self-development
- A good level of numeracy, grammar and literacy
- Effective communication skills
