Diss Infant Academy and Nursery and Diss Church of England Academy are two form entry Infant and Junior schools in the heart of the market town of Diss, on the Norfolk/Suffolk border.  We have fabulous grounds with the potential to further develop our outside learning.  Our average class size is 25, and teachers benefit from shared planning and access to experienced support staff.  We have a strong pastoral focus with a dedicated staff team.  We are part of the St Benet’s MAT, whose vision is to have

  • Access to coaching both within an experienced staff team and across local schools in a new MAT
  • Up to 30 hours a week, 8.30 am – 3.30 pm, term time plus one week (39 weeks)
  • Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch break)
  • Fixed term contract to 31 August 2022 to be based at Diss CE Junior Academy initially
  • Scale Point 5-6 (£19312 – £19698 full time equivalent) depending on experience
  • All appointments are subject to a six-month probationary period

This school/academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  To this end, you may be required to undergo pre-employment checks.  This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
