We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (for a Maternity Cover) to work within our SEMH Specialist Resource Base.

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (for a Maternity Cover) to work within our SEMH Specialist Resource Base.
Start date: 15 March 2021
24 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8.30 to 3pm with half an hour lunch
term time plus one week.
Salary will be paid on NJC Scale 5/6
We are looking for someone who will:-
- Be able to use initiative to support the social, emotional and mental health needs of pupils and any other special requirements.
- Have relevant experiences of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including challenging behaviour.
- Deliver activities and assess progress and attainment.
- Be able to keep accurate records.
- Be flexible and able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a supportive team
- Have experience of working with very challenging children
- Be resilient and have a sense of humour!
Candidates should have an NVQ 2, GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or equivalent.

A full DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate and other procedures and checks will be followed.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations.
