We are looking for an enthusiastic, supportive and dedicated individual to join our friendly team to provide one to one support to a pupil who is profoundly deaf, and is joining our Reception class in September.

Required to start as soon as possible

Part time teaching assistant 30 hours per wk working term time plus one week

Salary NJC scale point 11/12 dependent on experience

We are looking for an enthusiastic, supportive and dedicated individual to join our friendly team to provide one to one support to a pupil who is profoundly deaf, and is joining our Reception class in September. You will need previous experience of working in a primary school classroom, have excellent literacy and numeracy skills GCSE grade C and have a Teaching Assistant qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Specialist training will be provided for this post to ensure that a candidate without some of the relevant specialist qualifications/ experience/knowledge would well equipped for the role.

From September, the appointed person will work with the class teacher, Senco and other members of support staff to ensure the safety, progress and well-being of the child.
